Audition Information:

For your audition, you must prepare 2 monologues, preferably at least a minute each but no more than 2 minutes each: prepare one comedic monologue and one dramatic monologue. Also be expecting to cold-read from the script.

Auditions will be Saturday, October 26th from 10-12, 1-3, and 4-6, and Sunday, October 27th from 1-4. Check in and fill out an audition sheet at the table in the front lobby of the Shoals theatre, then wait to be sent upstairs to the conference room to audition. Callbacks will be Monday, October 28th at 6pm at First Presbyterian Church across the street from the theatre. Not everyone that auditions will be needed at callbacks.

Audition sheets will be ready upon arrival for you to fill out. This is just to let you know what to prepare for auditions and for you to sign-up for a time to audition. 

PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY (BEFORE YOUR AUDITION TIME) TO GIVE YOURSELF TIME TO FILL OUT THE AUDITION FORM. We do not want to get off schedule!

This production will be cast age accordingly. If you are auditioning for Annelle or Shelby, you must appear to be between the ages of 18-30. If you are auditioning for Truvy or M’lynn, you must appear to be between the ages of 30-60. If you are auditioning for Clairee or Ouiser, you must appear to be 60+.Show Information: The action is set in Truvy’s beauty salon in Chinquapin, Louisiana, where all the ladies who are “anybody” come to have their hair done. The story follows six Southern women’s small town lives and the trials and tribulations that come with it.
